What is your purpose in life? What are your passions?

Date August 21, 2007

Purpose. That’s a tough one. I do know some people that can say their purpose with no hesitation - without even blinking - but that’s not me right now.

I find it easier to define my passions (because it is easier!).  I know what gets me out of bed in the morning.  I know what gives me that good feeling in my gut.

I love to travel, dive into new cultures & learn new languages (and use them). I love to be outside in the sun, to get dirty and to do physical labor (man work).

I’m in a transition period in life and I feel lucky to have the opportunity to stop and reflect on where I go next – what I do next. I am going to take advantage of this the best way I know how - take action and learn from my mistakes (and successes). I know this is a key moment in my life and I expect to learn more in the next few months than I did in 4 years of college.

I want to try new things that will directly feed my passions. I hope to adapt and learn from my experiences, and ALSO FROM YOU and YOUR FEEDBACK.

I’m moving forward, ‘knowing’ that action is the first step on path to be able to answer the question: What is your purpose in life? -or better yet, to start living out my purpose.

*I feel I’m moving from Stage 2 to Stage 3 according to LifeHack’s 4 stages of Cultivating Purpose.*
